This is a partial certificate and is delivered at Thebarton Senior College by TAFE SA (RTO 41026).
This certificate is intended for students interested in exposure to an engineering or related working environment with a view to entering into employment in that area. This qualification will equip graduates with knowledge and skills which will enhance their prospects of employment in an engineering or related working environment.
There is a strong emphasis on safety and students develop sound workshop practices and skills through the application of a range of foundational hand tool skills. Students also use a wide range of workshop equipment including metal working lathes, milling machines, metal cropping and punching machines
MIG, Arc and TIG welding machines and grinders.
We are an unzoned specialist senior secondary college. Adults who have not completed SACE and wish to, may also enrol in the courses at Thebarton Senior College.
