Thebarton Senior College, along with the State Government and Beach Energy have partnered to fund a new program to provide more South Australian students with the option of studying geology at senior school level. This has seen the establishment at Thebarton Senior College of the GeoFutures Education Program for Year 11 and 12 students. GeoFutures Education is open to students from all South Australian schools who are interested in completing Stage 2 Earth and Environmental Science as part of their South Australian Certificate of Education (SACE).
The GeoFutures Education Program has been set up as part of a State Government commitment to encourage more students to seek qualifications in the energy, mining and explorations industries. The GeoFutures Education Program has been developed with the close support of premier partner Beach Energy. Beach Energy staff are involved in developing the curriculum and presenting at some of the lessons.
If you are interested in enrolling or have any enquiries about the GeoFutures Program please contact Thebarton Senior College and speak with a course counsellor or Mike Jones, our Senior Leader Mathematics and Science.
