The focus for this subject will be the experience of relocating to a new country and a new education system.

Students will conduct interviews with a range of people within and outside the school community. Students will interview BSSOs about their role at TSC. Additionally, students contact an organisation such as the Migrant Resource Centre or Australian Refugee Association.

Students compile a folio of these interviews and also make oral presentations about what they have learned, as well as doing a reflection on the process. These activities will support the development of their oral language skills, ie conversation and pronunciation, as well as other literacy skills including notetaking, paraphrasing and transcription.
