In Outdoor Education students explore the human connection with natural environments through outdoor activities. Students develop practical skills in bushwalking and other activities, investigate environmental issues and Indigenous perspectives, plan and manage outdoor activities, apply risk management practices, and reflect on personal, group and social development. Outdoor Education promotes the development of skills in leadership, self-management, group management, planning and evaluating, personal reflection, assessing and managing risks, managing safety, and minimising environmental impacts for sustainable futures.
