SACE Stage 2

Students study and create projects focusing on computational thinking, design, programming and data analytics. Students build skills and knowledge in coding, ethical practice, planning, testing and project management, through developing an interactive Game prototype in Unity or other industry standard tools.

This subject leads to future pathways in game development or digital technologies. Previous coding experience (such as Stage 1 Digital Technologies) is recommended but not required.

Course Content
In this subject, students will learn visual programming using Unity or similar tools. They will create computer game prototypes and analyse how to develop, refine and test a game with users.

Using project-based learning, students will:

  • Use an iterative design process
  • Evaluate the success of their prototypes
  • Investigate the process of marketing games to an audience
