YEAR 12 ORIENTATION DAY
A Great Start to the Year
YEAR 12 ORIENTATION DAY
Our 2020 Year 12 Orientation Day was held on Tuesday 4 February at Thebarton Community Centre. Kirrilie Smout (Psychologist) presented a seminar to our students on "getting it together: a guide to getting organised and getting motivated". This included making the best use of their time, knowing how to motivate themselves, resisting distractions, having short- and long-term goals, and feeling positive about their ability to learn.

Students had the opportunity to meet with their mentor teachers on the day and hear about our year 12 Formal and year 12 jackets for this year, key dates and support services available to them. Some of our 2019 year 12 students also returned to share their experiences and advice for success.

We also shared a great morning tea, which gave students the opportunity to try on year 12 jackets and meet other students.
