International Women's Day Forum
Celebrating Migrant and Refugee Women
International Women's Day Forum
On Monday 4 March, nineteen young women from the New Arrivals Program attended a Forum to celebrate International Women's Day, organised by AMRC (Australian Migrant Resource Centre) and held at the Adelaide Festival Centre.

The speakers explained the importance of the contribution of migrant and refugee women. In small groups, we discussed the issues and problems faced by migrant and refugee women in the community. We shared our ideas and suggested solutions which could encourage and help refugee women in Adelaide.

We enjoyed the forum and gained lots of experience and confidence by listening to the speeches and having the chance to meet other young women.
