Students Participate in Multicultural Female Legends Program
A group of Thebarton Senior College students are participating in the Multicultural Female Legends Program with the AFLW Adelaide Crows. For many of our students this has been their first introduction to AFL and sport in Australia.
So far, the students have participated in two skills sessions with Crows captain Chelsea Randall. They have learnt how to kick, pass and tackle as well as the rules of the game. In addition they have learnt about this iconic Australian game and how opportunities for women in sport have changed over time.
On 3 March, students from the program had the opportunity to attend the final AFLW home game for the season. The Crows won by 35 points. It is safe to say that this group of recent arrivals to Australia are the newest group of number 1 AFLW Adelaide Crows fans.
