Reconciliation Week was a little different this year due to the pandemic restrictions. However, in line with its theme of In This Together, the Thebarton Senior College community worked together to acknowledge our need for connection and understanding between Indigenous and non-Indigenous Australians in meaningful ways.
A video was created which explored what reconciliation means to students and staff, the common theme being respectful relationships with a desire to understand each other. We also created a gum leaf mandala as part of the library display which signified our unified community dedicated to reconciliation.
Reconciliation is always important to actively strive for, and this week was certainly a reflection of our collective value for respect.
