VOLUNTEERING AT THE HUTT STREET CENTRE
On the 27th of March, our Rotaract Club had the privilege of volunteering at Hutt Street Centre. The Centre helps people facing homelessness to rebuild their lives. Our club donated $350 to the Centre, which provided breakfast and lunch for about 200 people experiencing homelessness. We were named as an "Angel for a Day".

Through Hutt Street Centre's Meal Manager, we learnt that the Centre not only provides meals, but other services such as counselling support, health support, a recreational area, lockers, shelter and much more. This is all provided with the support of community.

It was a humbling experience for our student volunteers who served hot lunch and felt the satisfaction of giving without any expectation. Thank you to our students Fatiama and Bidhya.

Hutt Street Centre relies on the commitment of volunteers to assist with the provision of services to people who are homeless, in a variety of roles and in different areas of the Centre. If you would like to help in the future, please contact the Hutt Street Centre.
