Information Processing and Publishing focuses on the application of practical skills to provide creative solutions to text-based communication tasks following the Design Process.

In Information Processing and Publishing A, the focus is on business publishing, which combines the use of contemporary software and hardware with the elements and Principles of Design and an understanding of the processes and procedures involved in using information to produce business publications.

In Information Processing and Publishing B, the focus is on digital publishing, which incorporates the use of digital software and hardware as well as image projectors, monitors or televisions to display presentations that are either interactive or self-running. Digital presentations can be used for interactive information kiosks as well as for an audience.
