Peace Studies examines and challenges the concept of peace. It analyses the efficacy of nonviolent ways of resolving conflict. A strong focus is on the UN Sustainable Development Goals. Each student will select one to focus on, and as part of their assessment will take action to make a difference towards that goal.
The subject also engages with contemporary issues such as globalisation, climate change and refugee flows as we investigate the effects of these issues on achieving peace. Assessment will be through product development, exhibition and an investigation.
