Video Production provides a flexible framework for self-directed and innovative learning, using a variety of materials and tools. Students develop critical thinking and problem-solving skills to address a range of challenges that may arise from the design stage through to the construction stage. Students are encouraged to consider all types of filmmaking across the semester, including live action, animation and stop motion.

Course Content
Students develop skills across a broad area of video production. They investigate and build skills in camera handling, composition, light, audio capture, teamwork and editing. Students will use Premiere Pro to sequence their film and build various effects and transitions. Across the semester, students highlight these skills by building short films in their chosen genres via two Specialised Skills tasks and one larger Design Process and Solution.
