SACE Stage 1 - 60 credits


Year 10 Head-start to SACE is a full-time Semester 2 program designed for Year 10 students who are ready to make a head-start on their SACE (South Australian Certificate of Education). There are two streams to support you on your career pathway:

  1. SACE stream - whatever your career pathway, this stream will set you up with the foundations for success in SACE.
  2. Vocational education stream - this stream will prepare you for success in undertaking vocational education and training and/or a school-based apprenticeship/traineeship as part of your SACE.

Course Content
The course consists of six subjects:

Mathematics (10 credits)

English (10 credits)

Science (10 credits)

SACE Learner Profile (Recognition of Community Learning) (10 credits)

Two elective subjects are chosen from Humanities, Arts, IT, Design and Technology and Home Economics/Health and Personal Development subjects. This includes Gateway 2 Trades, Gateway 2 Film and Television, Gateway 2 IT and Gateway to Screen and Media as part of the vocational education stream.
