Monitoring the Environment
  • Global warming and climate change, photochemical smog, volumetric analysis, chromatography and atomic spectroscopy
Managing Chemical Processes
  • Rate of reactions, equilibrium and yield, optimising production
Organic and Biological Chemistry
  • Organic chemistry, alcohols, aldehydes and ketones, carbohydrates, carboxylic acids, amines, esters, amides, triglycerides and proteins
Managing resources
  • Energy, water, soil, and materials
Three strands of science are integrated throughout:
