Students develop their knowledge of the principles and concepts of physics, and the ability to use that knowledge to formulate questions and hypotheses and identify opportunities and challenges. They also acquire new knowledge through their investigations.

Course Content
Stage 2 Physics is organised into three sections with 13 subtopics. Each subtopic includes one application, which is an integral part of study in this subject. Sections are:

  • Topic 1: Motion and Relativity
  • Topic 2: Electricity and Magnetism
  • Topic 3: Light and Atoms
