The focus of this course is sport and personal development. Students will have choice in the program focus activities that are undertaken in line with this theme, that could include various sports (badminton, volleyball, football, basketball etc), sport management, strength and fitness, aquatics, rock climbing, and challenge and adventure activities.

Students will reflect on, and progress their learning, in reference to the program focus and one or more SACE Capabilities.

Course Content
There are three areas of content:

  • Practical Inquiry: students will demonstrate practical application and development of knowledge, concepts and skills related to the sport and adventure activities undertaken.
  • Connections: students will undertake activities that encourage them to make connections between the program focus areas and their development of one or more SACE Capabilities.
  • Personal Endeavor: students will explore an area of program focus that is of interest to them through either an inquiry- or practical-based investigation.

Further Info

Previous experience in sports/Physical Education is beneficial, as well as a willingness to challenge yourself. Students will be required to engage with excursions and physical activities.
