Course Description

Students gain valuable skills and knowledge that will help them to generate solutions to protect their own personal online profile from cyber security threats, and to limit the potential impact of online security breaches. They also explore how to protect others from cyber security threats by establishing an awareness of current threats, how to mitigate these, and how to train others in best practice.

This is an introductory course for students who want to learn about cyber security and begin preparations to work in this industry area. Students undertaking this course may seek further studies in information technology.

Entry Requirements

There are no pre-requisites for this course specified in the training package; however, students must satisfy the school admission requirements and achieve satisfactory results in a language, literacy and numeracy assessment.
