Raising funds and supporting charity
On 14 November, our NAP Classes 333 and 334 worked together to hold a Market Day. Everything was sold for $1 or less. All money raised went to the college's Tina Lawton Fund. Class 333 prepared all the goods for sale and Class 334 organised all the goods into categories such as household goods, women's clothes, men's clothes, photo frames, baby clothes, shoes and accessories.
We used the 'three items for one dollar' pitch or a small donation to sell items. We made many beautiful memories as we sailed through the day. We had a new experience with our class, which made us very happy. We raised a lot of money, $325.50 for the Tina Lawton Fund. After the market, a local charity, CareWorks visited us to pick up the leftover items.
