Science Alive Excursion
On Friday 3 August, nine New Arrivals Program (NAP) Science classes attended 'Science Alive' at the Wayville Showgrounds.
NAP students had fun participating in hands-on science events and activities that included the Explosive Science Show, Scientific Bubble Show, native animals, robotics, bugs and slugs, Questacon puzzles and Daleks!
One of the displays visited by students was the Adelaide and Mount Lofty Ranges Natural Resources Management Board, which had a range of fun activities on living sustainably in an urban environment.
There was a fabulous range of information on science and engineering study and career options in defence industries, engineering, nature, health and nutrition. We also heard about the future submarine program, and the thousands of jobs on offer in South Australia in the future, including legal, finance, business support, human resources, engineering, electrical, communications, trades and work, health and safety.
It was all happening at 'Science Alive'!
