Recognising Success
Thebarton Senior College has, and continues to, produce many successful students. We would like to recognise this success for the benefit of all current students and past students. Two of our distinguished alumni include:

Frank John Fenner, AC, CMG, MBE, FRS, FAA (21 December 1914 - 22 November 2010) was an Australian scientist with a distinguished career in the field of virology. His two greatest achievements are cited as overseeing the eradication of smallpox, and the control of Australia's rabbit plague through the introduction of Myxoma virus.

The Australian Academy of Science awards annually the prestigious Fenner Medal for distinguished research in biology by a scientist under 40 years of age.

SIR ERIC NEAL (pictured above with Principal Eva Kannis-Torry)
Sir Eric James Neal AC CVO FTSE HonFAIB (born 24 June 1924) is a retired Australian businessman and public officer. He is a former Governor of South Australia (1996-2001), Commissioner of Sydney (1987-1988) and Chancellor of Flinders University (2002-2010).
