On Thursday 14th June, Thebarton Senior College hosted a Beyond Blue information session for students.

The event was organised by one of our students, Shaghaygh, as part of her SACE Stage 2 Health Investigation. Shaghaygh had chosen to research depression, and as part of her assignment undertook a social action to raise awareness of depression, mental health issues and the services provided by Beyond Blue. Ms Sophie Goodwin, a Beyond Blue Ambassador, spoke to students about her personal journey and the steps she has taken to manage her mental health. Sophie was an incredibly courageous and inspiring speaker. Congratulations to Shaghaygh on all of her hard work in organising this event.
