With the help of the Pride Club, we made time to celebrate IDAHOBIT Day - International Day Against Homophobia, Biphobia, Intersexism, and Transphobia.

IDAHOBIT Day on the 17th of May is a day of celebration for the significant progress we have made around the world to raise awareness and support for members of the LGBTIQ+ community. The day is about acknowledging continued progress in creating equity for all and coming together to show our pride and support.

Our Pride Club celebrated the day with a wonderful chalk mural of rainbow wings (artist: staff member Alex Brindal) for all staff and students to take a photo with to show their pride and support for the LGBTIQ+ community, along with handmade rainbow badges for students and staff to wear and show their support. Thank you to all who participated and showed their continued love and acceptance of all.

You can join us for more Pride festivities next term on Tuesdays at Lunchtime in LH5. Next term we will be getting ready for Wear It Purple Day on Friday in week 6, and will be looking for suggestions and ideas. All are welcome.
